Carol Lynley

Pics Carol Lynley Feet and LegsCarol Lynley, born Carole Ann Jones on February 13, 1942, and died on September 3, 2019, was an American actress best known for her roles as Blue Denim (1959), and The Poseidon Adventure (1972). Lynley was the daughter of an Irish father and her New England mother. Prior to becoming an actor she began her modeling career as a young model. She was nominated for the Theatre World Award for "one of the most promising stars 1956-1957" for her performance in The Potting Shed. Lynley's film career started in 1958 when she appeared in the Disney film The Light in the Forest. Holiday for Lovers (1959), Blue Denim (1959) followed. In 1959 she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer - Female in the film The Light in the Forest. She was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award again for the most promising youngcomer of female the following year in the film Blue Denim.
