Rauw Alejandro
Raul Alejandro Ocasio Ruiz (born January 10, 1993) is professionally known as Rauw Alejandro is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. He is known as "the King of Modern Reggaeton"[2][3] and belongs to "the new generation of Puerto Rican urban artists. His first studio album Afrodisiaco was released in November 2020. Vice Versa is his second studio album, came out in June 2021. It featured the lead single "Todo de Ti". With 12 nominations, he was awarded two Latin Grammy Awards. Raul Alejandro Olasio Ruiz was born in San Juan (Puerto Rico) on the 10th of January, 1993. His family was born in Carolina and Canovanas. The father of Alejandro, guitarist Raul Ocasio Ruiz, as well as his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz (backing vocalist) introduced him to a variety of his musical influences such as Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, and Chris Brown. Alejandro and his father stayed for a long time in the United States. They mainly resided in New York City and Miami. [7][8] Alejandro and his fellow Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA are childhood buddies; they both went to the same high school and shared classes together. 9/10/10 Alejandro was a part of school show as a youngster since he was a lover of dancing. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico. From the age of 6 to the age of 20, he played soccer, but then he decided to quit because he "could not do what he would have liked to" and suffered an injury when he was 20. He relocated to Orlando, Florida to attempt to be scouted for a spot in the Premier Development League (PDL) and was ultimately unsuccessful. Rauw Alejandro is well-known for his Latin R&B, Latin Reggaeton and rhythmic pop. Billboard said that it's been instrumental in helping "set him apart from the growing group of reggaetoneros who are influenced by pop". He was inspired early on by Presley and Jackson, and later by Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee and Chris Brown. [24He also credits Ciara for being his musical inspiration.
